Home Learning.

We hope you have enjoyed receiving your weekly letters from the teachers. We have loved seeing the learning some of you have been able to share with us on our Facebook page. These letters contain:

  • the words or sounds the children should be learning in spelling lessons/phonics.
  • a reading comprehension.
  • an activity based on what the children would have been learning in maths. This will be based on what they last learned to consolidate this learning, rather than require new learning.

We will also send out the termly curriculum overview for each class and provide opportunities for children to explore their new topics at home, recognising that although remote learning cannot replicate the rich learning that goes on in classrooms, the children can still encounter the curriculum in a different way.

Teachers are also trying to ensure that we promote useful websites as well as providing some activities that children can do without online access. To assist in this please find some links to a few websites we think you may find useful.

With best wishes to all.

Stay safe. Stay at home.
