We are thrilled to announce that Kennet Valley Primary School has been recognised by West Berkshire for the measures we take to prevent bullying at the school. The school has earned accreditation from West Berks and was presented with a certificate and book voucher in assembly on, Monday 27th February, by Linda Curtis, the Principal Education Welfare Officer for West Berks and Lynne Docherty, West Berkshire Councillor with Education Portfolio. The ‘Safe in our Hands’ award is recognition that the staff and children know what bullying is, have taken steps to prevent it and have strategies in place to deal with bullying. It does not mean that there is no bullying at school; it means we are trying to minimise instances of bullying. We are very proud of receiving our award and look forward to being able to display the logo on our letterheads.
