BREAKFAST CLUB LEADER
Term Time Band C10-15 (actual salary C10 £2297- C15 £2448)
Kennet Valley Primary School is seeking to appoint a Breakfast Play Leader. We are looking for an enthusiastic and fun individual for our before-hours care service based at the school. Required for an hour each day, to lead the Breakfast Club in serving breakfast for up to 20 children. (7:45 -8:45 am, term time only) with an additional hour per week for administration and shopping (6 hours per week in total), beginning on Wednesday 5th September, 2018.
You will be required to work as part of a small team to:
- provide a caring, secure environment for children attending the Breakfast Club;
- ensure we offer a stimulating and creative setting;
- ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner;
- consult with the children in order to plan activities they are interested in and that include everyone;
- purchase/order and prepare and serve food.
This is a thriving club, which is a key feature of our school provision. Most days it is full and is a very popular service.
Visits are welcome and encouraged during the school day. Candidates should have effective communication skills and an NVQ Level 3 in child care and education is highly desirable and preferably a basic food hygiene certificate, or a willingness to be working towards these qualifications.
